My Photography experience for the last twenty years has been a challenging but rewarding journey into the digital age. Those many years while continuously adapting to new technology, my main focus was portrait photography, capturing expressions of people of all ages using lighting and simple direction to express a mood or attitude. My experiences in photographing children, families, landscapes, architecture, seniors and weddings have all been stepping stones to the skills I have today. Wedding photography from my point of view is a visual documentation of a couple’s dream-day. Beauty and tradition captured for you to remember long after the dream has become a memory. The picture really does tell the story!

David McCarthy Bio
When my sister first introduced me to photography, and helped me purchase my first camera I eventually found a hobby that would lead into a career. I attended RIT majoring in professional photography and graduated in 1980. I went to work for a retail mini lab which I eventually would own. I started to do weddings over 25 years ago. Many changes have taken place over that time from equipment to the way that I approached and captured wedding images. My style and approach to photographing a wedding is a combination of the traditional and contemporary style. Digital equipment now offers Brides and Grooms many more options than they had 20 years ago.
